James H. Thomason Library

Library Policy for Summer Camps

Thomason Library's main purpose is to support the curriculum and research needs of the College by providing services, materials, and computer access for PC students, faculty and staff.

Guidelines for Camp Groups and Individuals:

  • Presbyterian College students, faculty and staff have priority for library materials and on library computers at all times.

  • If a camp group needs to conduct research using the Library's information resources, reference books, databases, or to make use of the Library's computers or classrooms, the camp coordinator must contact the Library in advance to schedule a group visit. Instruction sessions for non-college groups are available when requested well in advance.

  • All camp participants must be accompanied by an adult or counselor whenever they are in the Library. Because Thomason Library serves an adult population, we do not filter or block Internet sites. In addition, we do not organize or collect material according to what may or may not be appropriate for anyone under college age.

  • Camp groups and individuals will NOT be allowed to check out library materials or laptops at the Circulation Desk.
